We look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful corner of the World.

nethy bridge & the cairngorm national park

Nethy Bridge is known as the forest village as it is situated on the edge of the Abernethy RSPB nature reserve. The reserve is the largest remaining area of natural Scots Caledonian pinewood left in Scotland. We are about 2 miles from Loch Garten where Ospreys have been coming for many years to nest and raise their young. The area is a well known paradise for bird and wildlife watchers, walkers and photographers.

The Cairngorm National Park offers a wide variety of activities including mountain biking, sailing and windsurfing, climbing and skiing, horse riding, golf, walking and plenty of wildlife and photography opportunities. We would be delighted to point you in the right direction. The Cairngorm Mountain ski resort is about 12 miles away and Loch Morlich beach is about 8 miles away. The area is rich in cultural history

Smarter than average ‘glamping’ in the most peaceful setting, I’ll be back!Super clean and really well equipped (including fresh rolls and free-range eggs for breakfast, tea and coffee), with an incredibly peaceful setting overlooking a paddock to the old kirk and Castle Roy. Within easy walking distance of the village. Lovely hosts, we wish them well with their venture.Having to leave, wished we could have enjoyed it longer.

Amazing location, cool little home from home. Nethy bridge is a perfect base for outdoor activity, with a fantastic cafe in the village. The pod is in a fantastic setting with a view over the Kirk and castle. If you're too soft for camping in the highlands (like me) then this is perfect.

We had a great stay at Alastair's pod, as it's larger than most tiny houses, and the place is very calm and peaceful. Waking up in a such location, with beautiful horses, is very relaxing. We really recommend it.
